The #1 requested feature from my users involves some changes to how the Recent Topics and/or Posts are displayed. Right now, I can display Recent Topics and it shows them in descending order from the date of the original post. I can also show the Recent Posts, but it shows multiple posts within one topic. This means that a popular topic can cause the Recent Posts widget to fill up quickly with posts from a single topic.
What I and my users would really like to see is a list of topics that are sorted based on the latest post to each topic. That way, the list of topics changes as more posts are made to each topic. I think this is a pretty common feature of other forums.
Even better, it would be awesome if you implemented a widget that would display recent topics with recent posts within each topic, similar to your extended topics found within individual forums, like this: https://cl.ly/3u3521123d3p but maybe with a little less detailed information (for example, you probably don't need to show post counts and all that). How cool would that be? I don't think any other forum does that.
Ok, nice! In next release we'll list recent topics with recent replies.
The widget improvement may take a bit longer. So it's better and faster to improve the Recent Posts page.

Yeah, I totally understand. I was thinking the first part of the request is the primary functionality we are looking for. The second part would be the dream functionality. 😉
It might be good to have some options available in the admin area so different admins can sort those lists per their own tastes. But I do think my request is probably the most common usage.

If I were to make one more suggestion for the Recent Posts page, it would be to add something showing how many replies there are. But that's certainly not a priority, just an idea for a possible future update.

Admin please can you help me with this as my client hangs on me.. @wendell asked almost a similar thing..
The recent replies widget keeps giving a repetition of a single topic that has more replies, so i am thinking if we can there is anyway to have it display only the most popular topics in order of highest replies and not repeat same topic on the list::- that will be so good as it is common on most forum engines and my client is really on my neck for this..
Moreover if i can get anyone to help me with this, I'll be so thankful.
