I am wondering if there is a roadmap or plans in future WPForo releases for the following features.

  1. The requirement to read and acknowledge (via checkbox) of having read the forum Terms of Service/Rules on the sign up page - obviously there should be a link field to the T&Cs
  2. An admin/moderator function to enable post moving - would automatically create a new topic.
  3. An admin/moderator function to enable post moving to merge into an existing topic.
  4. An admin/moderator function to merge multiple topics into one root topic.
  5. On banning a member that member is automatically moved to the banned usergroup.

Thank you.

Hi VereK,

The next wpForo 1.4.6 version comes in a few days. We got unexpected challenges in FontAwesome 5 upgrading step.

The requirement to read and acknowledge (via checkbox) of having read the forum Terms of Service/Rules on the sign up page - obviously there should be a link field to the T&Cs

You can do this using wpForo Custom User Field addon. It's like other Profile plugins has all options to customize Registration Form.

Doc: https://wpforo.com/docs/root/addons/wpforo-user-custom-fields/registration-form/

Also you can customize register.php template file. this file is located in /wpforo/wpf-themes/classic/ directory. here is an information to customize wpForo template files in upgrade-safe way:

https://wpforo.com/docs/root/forum-themes/theme-customization/

Template files:

https://wpforo.com/docs/root/forum-themes/theme-files/

An admin/moderator function to enable post moving - would automatically create a new topic.
An admin/moderator function to enable post moving to merge into an existing topic.
An admin/moderator function to merge multiple topics into one root topic.

wpForo 1.4.6 comes with full Topic Moderation Tools:

  • Move Topic
  • Move Reply
  • Merge Topic
  • Split Topic (Split and attach posts to a new topic or to existing topic)

On banning a member that member is automatically moved to the banned usergroup.

There is no Banned Users Usergroup. wpForo already has an option to ban users. This is a user status not a Usergroup. All Banned users can be found in Dashboard > Forums > Members > Banned Tab

Just wanted to say a big, big thank you to Robert and the gvectors team. I'm over the moon as I'm sure many others are, at having the moderator tools. It makes life so much easier when having to manipulate topics and posts.

Well done chaps!  WpForo is getting so good now. 👍  😎
