I know that WPFORO is a WP forum, but can it be used as a standalone forum without using WP? I have a stand alone WP site that has no registration and is used only as an information site, but I would like integration capabilities with visitors and they can only use the forum as there interaction.

Hi @djdubuque,
Yous should install a separate WordPress in some subdirectory or sub-domain, then install wpForo and enable the "Turn WordPress to wpForo" option located in Forums > Settings > General Tab.
