If admins can actually read the messages between users ... call them conversations ... and drop the word private so people will complain less when they find out they aren't private.  That is what Xenforo did. 🙂

Sure, private messages will not be available for admins. But there will be some excerpts...

Admin will be able to see these PMs:

1. Messages sent by users with levels less than 1/10 (he/she has less than 5 posts)
2. Reported (by receiver) messages
3. Blocked (by receiver) users' messages

And so on...

We'll also accept suggestions of our community members.

In future releases we'll add "Friends" feature in PM addon this will increase privacy...

I can't wait for the Polls and Private Messaging. I'm really looking forward to these and others. I'm currently using wpforo 1.0.2. Any word on how much longer before these Addons will be available?

We spent lots of time on Beta-6 to 1.0.x update and support, so we didn't finish wpForo addons yet. We'll try to release some of them in the upcoming week.
