Hello, in the options of the wpforo plugin for email notifications, in the "Email address for password reset" section, do not save changes, or activate or deactivate or change the text of the default email. when you save the changes they do not take effect and remain in the previous state of the changes

It depends on what changes you do, provide the changes you have done before saving the email template.
