I had debug disabled the whole time and yet the debug keeps showing up. I tried clearing cache and all that but didn't work for me.

Please make sure the "Enable Debug Mode" option is disabled. More info here: https://wpforo.com/docs/wpforo-v2/settings/general-settings/#enable-debug-mode
