When I'm on the page "unread topic", the menu-item from "recent topics" gets highlighted as active (it also says so in the code).
It seems to be something new. I started after applying these settings.
I have no idea how this happened or what the correlation could be.

Yes, because you're on the "Recent Posts" page. You're viewing recent unread posts.
It feels kind of weird when you press another menu-item 😬Â
