I have a few questions regarding WPForo

  1. Can members create new topics? Is this an option we can control?
  2. Privacy:
    1. Is the profile in the forum ported over from the WP profile?
    2. Can members see other member’s email and other details on their profile?
  3. Can we moderate uploading of files?
  4. Why do some posts need moderation and some don’t? <-- i have a moderator role posted a reply in forum, but the status is "awaiting moderation? <-- why does it need moderation for moderator?

For users:

  1. Under “Account”, I can change the personal details such as “Email”. As we are granting forum access based on email addresses, can we lock this field and disallow changes?
  2. Can members post anonymously after logging in?

Also Check New Registered User Field from Dashboard > Forums > Tools > Antispam Tab.

You can disallow changes by Usergroups - Disable` Dashboard - Can edit member Checkbox

Can members post anonymously after logging in?

They can make their posts private from the post editor but not anonymous.

Hi! Thank you for your reply. I have removed (unchecked) Dashboard - Can edit member. However, users with standard access still can edit their own profile. Is there anything that i've missed out?

You don't want to give your user the availability to make changes in their own profile?
