I have a bit of an issue with my usergroups and access as a result.
My students get given a role when they first join and it assigns them automatically to the correct usergroup. However, as additional roles are being added, their usergroup changes and affects their acces. Is there a way to fix this?
Perhaps there is a way I can prevent automatic changing?

I'm sorry, but I don't follow you, can you explain the issue you have with more details.
@chris Students have a set user-group that is given to them upon enrollment. At a later point in the course, an additional role is added to their account to give them access to more advanced content. The issue is that when this automated role add is done, wpforo also changes their user group role to the new added one instead of the original role which the student still has.
Basically, I want to know if I can turn off the automatic changing of their usergroup role that is happening.
If Usergroup Synch option is enabled, wpForo Usergroups will be synched with Wordpress User Roles, so changing Users user role will change the users usergroup.
