I installed the wpforo advanced attachments plugin. It works for some users while for others the buttons "My Media" and "Add Attachment" do not appear. As it affects not all users I reasoned it has something to do with user groups / privileges, but all there users belong to the same group and have the same rights, so I'm lost.
How to fix this? Any suggestions?

It's controlled by wpForo Antispam System. They should have the minimum number of approved posts to be able to attach a file. You can set this option 0. Here is the instruction: https://wpforo.com/community/how-to-and-troubleshooting-2/registered-users-can-upload-files/#post-53651
