I'm sorry if this has been asked before, I'm horrible at searching for things and what I found did not quite answer my question.
I'd like to have an announcements forum where only an admin or moderator can post new topics, but people can reply. How would I achieve this?
I found the solution.
I had to create a new access setting that only basically allowed viewing and replying, then assign everyone who normally had standard access to that special access in the Announcements forum. Glad that was possible, even if a bit confusing.
