Ah strange, it is made in canva and the files itself looks great before it is uploaded. It is also within the dimensions you advised. Im really not sure how to resolve this one, do you know where else I may be able to go for support? I have tried everything I know and both my avatars and cover photos are uploading blurry

Ok found out the reason of the IMG quality, it's because of wpForo decreases the quality of the IMG when uploading it from profile, the reason of it is that full quality covers effect on the page speed. Unfortunately, we don't have a hook with which you could change the function.
But you can change your cover image with FTP/File Manager to make it full quality.
Replace the cover IMG with the one on your device in the current(uploaded) IMG folder, but make sure that IMG name is the exact same as the uploaded one.
