I'd also recommend delete this file in Wordpress file system:

/wp-content/plugins/wpforo/wpf-themes/classic/colors.css

this will force wpForo to create a new one with new colors.

Also please check permissions of all folders of this directory tree /wp-content/plugins/wpforo/wpf-themes/classic/ . Make sure they set 755, if it's 755 try to set it temporarily 777.
