Can you tell me if there is a way to customize the message that is displayed when somebody does not have permission to access some part of the forum?  Right now it just says "Permission denied" but instead I would like it to say "This feature is only available for our premium members.  Upgrade today to receive full access to forums and private messaging."

Thanks in advance!

Hi @aaronmckeon,

Go to Dashboard > Forums > Phrases Search for the Original Phrase, edit it and write what you need.

@chris Thanks!  I was able to find a couple phrases to change.  That being said, I cannot find the following phrase:

You are not allowed to write a message yet.

Can you tell me why this message would be appearing?  I thought I had configured all settings to allow a person in this user group to be able to use private messaging.  So, there are two issues:

  1. What triggers this message?  It should not be appearing for this member.
  2. How do I customize it?  I cannot find it by searching the phrases section.

Thanks again.

@aaronmckeon,

1. Go to Dashboard > Forums > Usergroups, edit the usergroup and Enable Front - Can write PM option.

2. Go to Dashboard > Forums > Dashboard And press Rebuild Phrases, Delete Phrase Cache Buttons,

search it again, that phrase belongs to PM addon and under the Package column you will see written "wpforo-private-messages"
