Hi Guys,

Probably a simple fix but has me stumped at the moment.

I have the base URL set.

I have an elementor page with [wpforo] in a text element and the forum displays.

Direct link to forum displays can't be found message.

Any help advice would be appreciated.

Hi @wsmpool,

Please follow the steps below:

1.Please navigate to the Dashboard > Forums > Settings > General admin page, make sure the "Forum Page ID" is exist, click on "Update Options" button.

2. Deactivate and activate the plugin again.

3. Delete all cahes and press CTRL+F5(twice) on the frontend.

4. Navigate to the Dashboard >  Forums > Dashboard admin page, click on "Delete User Cache" button.

5. If you have a cache plugin, you shouid exclude wpForo Forum page from your cache plugin, before checking. Also please read this FAQ topic about the wpForo and Cache Plugins:  https://wpforo.com/community/faq/wpforo-and-cache-plugins/

Hi @alvina,

Followed steps 1-5 with no change, excluded the forum page from a cache plugin.  For some reason, CTRL+F5 opens a folder on my MS keyboard.

@wsmpool,

If none of the steps above fix the issue, then it seems there is a plugin conflict, so please deactivate the plugins one by one and check after each deactivation to find the problem maker one.

Deactivated all plugins except wpForo but still have the issue.

Just created a local site on my PC, added the plugins as per the live site, but could not duplicate the issue.  Yep, everything works in the local environment.  😯

Is there any import/export function so I can duplicate the forums?

@wsmpool,

If the local site does not have this problem, then wpForo is working as expected. You just misconfigured your live website.

Please edit the page where  [wpforo] shortcode is added and make sure the forum slug is the same as in the Dashboard > Forums > General admin page "Forum Base URL" option value.

Also please make sure you do not add the shortcode on the other pages too.

Thank you for your patience.  Managed to get the CTRL+F5 working 🤣

Well, I'm stumped.

Rather than create a lot of replies with one image in each, I created a page with the images on.

Everything is correct as far as I can see.  Numerous CTRL+F5 changes nothing.

So the [wpforo] shortcode can only be in one place?

Still Stumped.

Created the site again from scratch on a subdomain using the exact same plugins, pages and posts.

Forum shows up fine indicating as you said it's not a wpforo issue.

I have no idea where to look in an effort to solve this but thank you for your efforts.

  1. Setup dummy site on host default theme and wpforo as the only plugin.
  2. Created a page containing [wpforo].
  3. Forum displays as home page https://site2.wsmpool.co.uk/
  4. Click any of the links and forum no longer shows.

Problem working with WordPress 5.5?

Hi @wsmpool,

We've just test and don't find such an issue. See the recorded video below: https://www.screencast.com/t/nQRGkRDVH
