wpForo 1.x.x [Solved] Help in understanding error file

@ozoneprof What you do wrong is doing many changes here and there and adding plugins all at ONCE.

For example there is absolutely no reason to cache and optimize a site under constuction or under work. Because you will NEVER know what is wrong.

Make a plan. Disable all unneeded plugins (unntil you have a stable WP). Make notes. Be systematic.

@dimalifragis Ok, thank you for the suggestion but we update daily, so what you are telling me is that I should set the cache at 24 hours? Without a cache, the site is painfully slow?

@ozoneprof What cache is that? For wpForo or for Wordpress excluding wpForo?

wpForo can't work right with ANY caching.

Also if your site is super slow without caching, then you probably have some other issues (that you are not aware). Caching can't make a site fly.

It is impossible to view the source of your site and debug more, since you have blocked the html view (content protected it says). Such blocks are not good in 20th century. No use and with little hack work, they are disabled so anyone can view the source.

@dimalifragis Ya, that I know but for majority it works well, it is a non profit site that relies on information as a form of return for contributions, that is the best I could come up with. Any suggestions on alternatives would be appreciated.

I have excluded wpForo from the cache as I read in help notes, the directory of the forum anyway, /MedicalOzoneForum/* ,is there something else or is that it?

Yes, there are issues we are correcting as it is slow but I dont want it to be slower, I understand a cache wont make it fly but helps and if it shaves a second off loading time, at this point I am happy.

@dimalifragis One more if I can ask. I need users when they log in to not be redirected to the admin area but it seems to do that. I have redirected log in from the forum to the main site log in but seems to go to admin menu after log in. I understand this may not be a wpforo issue but any suggestions would be appreciated.

I want to thank you for your assistance, it seems to run a bit smoother since taking out the two plug ins, Jetpack and Wpforms.

@dimalifragis Ok sorry about that, that is actually what I needed to know. Its confusing as it comes up in issues in the tools section of wpForo...Having said that while I think it is useful, it should say whether it is a wpForo issue or some other issue.

@ozoneprof For example "WordPress database error Lost connection to MySQL server during query" error you posted is due to extremely poor hosting.

You seems to have many different issues, some from plugins and some from hosting. Make a strategy to pinpoint the causes. Enable/disable plugins, switch themes, it is pretty standard the procedure.
