There's something very wrong with my WPForo: tons of topics are suddenly being moved around to the wrong forums, causing an incredible mess. As the only admin, I can assure you this happened without any interference.

We're talking about 100+ topics, so manually moving them back to the correct forums will cost me a lot of time.

Please help!

wpForo doesn't do such things without admin actions. Here are possible reasons:

1. You've deleted the forum and it automatically moves all topics of deleted forum to other forum.

2. You've made some changes in forum hierarchy and set a simple forum as category (top level forums). Categories are only for wrapping purposes and all topics will be automatically moved to another forum if current forum becomes a category.

3. you've done some database manipulation or executed some queries in DB which changes forumid in_wpforo_topics table.

In any case I have no chance to know what exactly happened, it may have other reasons but I can say 100%, that wpForo will nave do this itself.

Also noticed an oddity when it comes to permalinks. I can just replace the forum title in the URL and the topic will still show up. Eg.

http://welcometotwinpeaks.com/discuss/twin-peaks-part-6/electric-pole-no-6/
http://welcometotwinpeaks.com/discuss/twin-peaks-part-7/electric-pole-no-6/
http://welcometotwinpeaks.com/discuss/twin-peaks-part-8/electric-pole-no-6/

etc.

It seems you've not reset the cache. Just click on [Delete all caches] button in Dashboard > Forums > Dashboard admin page. If you have other cache plugins you should delete website cache too.
