I am using the simplified layout.

I am hoping that when a user clicks a topic (thread) , they see the latest post.

Currently, when a user chooses a topic they see the first post and have to go navigate to the latest post. This is a problem for me because I have a lot of long-running Topics that users come back to very often (mostly to see what has recently been said).

Is there a way to have this happen?

All Layouts Topic tiles are linked directly to the topic first post. This is a standard for all forum softwares. People should be able to see the Topic initiator Post (first post) to understand the further replies.

Also, all Layouts have a link to the latest post for each Topic. For example in Simplified layout it's located right after the last post author name:

Thanks for your response Robert.

My problem is that:

a) On desktop, Its near impossible for the user to understand that the link to tiny arrow is what goes to the latest post. It would be more intuitive for the entire line (name AND arrow) to link to the 'last post". (What is the use case for a user wanting to click to see the Profile of the person who made the last post? I'd think that is a very rare occurrence.)

b) Even if this is the case, the 'last post' column disappears on mobile. That's over 50% of users on the internet today. All of those users are having to click on the topic and scroll to the latest post.

Is there a way I can pay you to customize a few things for me in the "simplified layout". Name your price. Any work you did for me you could add as an option or share with other users. I just want WP-Foro to be my longterm option, but there are a few small things that are keeping my users unhappy...and keeping me looking for other options.

Anyway, we can speak off of the forum about paying you to customize something for us?

If so, please email me at Packinsider at gmail dot com.
