Hello!

One new user to my forum comes with several issues: The headline of her post shows up in the wpForo recent topics widget, but it cannot be opened or read, nor am I able to delete it without deleting her entire user profile. Her post was first displayed with a 404 error, and now I am not allowed to view that topic without logging in, although I am logged in as admin. She herself got a "topic add error". In other menus, her post is saying it's posted by "anonymous", and that it's 49 years old.

I know this person and I'm sure this trouble is not intentional. I've tried to help her in various ways, editing her profile etc. I haven't seen this with any other of mye users. The trouble started before the 1.5.3 update. it looks serious. Can you help?

website: www.kjentmannsmerket.org. It's the post headlined "Post 30 Fyllingskollen" and the user in question starts with audr*********.

That doesn't have any relation to 1.5.3 version. Because we've not made any change in 1.5.3 version which may cause this issue. This is a damaged post. Somehow this post data was damaged in database. Just delete that topic and post in database, that's it.

Use Hosting Service cPanel > phpMyAdmin > WP Database > open wp_wpforo_topics table, find that topic and delete it. Also find the first post of that topic in wp_wpforo_posts table and delete it.

Then navigate to Dashboard > Forums > Dashboard admin page and click on [Delete all caches] button.

Hi, thank you for your speedy response yesterday. I have followed your instructions, but it did not solve the problem.

I have tested extensively. I created a new topic with same name, no problem.

I created a new user profile for the user and posted a test message, no problem.

I then re-wrote her initial, troublesome post and posted it using her user name and the original topic title, no problem.

I then tried to post the original post using my own credentials, and ooops!, now I'm the one having a 49 year old post by "Anonymous" which I am not able to open or remove (unless I delete it in wpMyAdmin, I guess.

Could there be a problem with the actual text file? It now sits in my forum under the title "test". I'd be grateful if you could take a look whenever you have time.

As I mentioned, I know this user and it appears she's using a standard iPad. Noe other users have reported similar problems, and others have post new messages after these troubles started.
