Hi,
Background:
- I am using Elementor and GeneratePress on Wordpress.
- I am a total beginner and cannot code at all.
- When I add in [wpforo] it loads a header and footer I do not want.
I could only get one photo to attach.
My two questions:
1) How do I delete the redundant header? It is the one on the bottom with the hamburger. The one on top is the one I want to show. It is the 'global header'. If I cannot show any header at all, that is fine as well.
2) How do I delete the redundant footer? It is the on on top. The one on the bottom underneath the arrow is the one I want to show. It is the 'global footer.'
Thank you for your time!
Hi rescueme,
1. Please read this doc: https://wpforo.com/docs/root/wpforo-settings/features/
2. If I understand you correctly, you need to disable forum statistic? If so, please navigate to Dashboard > Forums > Settings > Features admin page, disable forum statistic:
Thanks Sofy for responding.
1. I read that document and unfortunately still have no solution. It appears that the [wpforo] pulls in information from a previous theme that I used. Is that possible? For example I used WPOcean before but now use Generate Press. I was hoping there was a way to 'reset' or 'update' the layout without deleting the WPForo plugin completely and reinstalling it.
2. I apologize for not communicating clearly. I do not want to disable the forum statistic. I want to remove the redundant footer that I have (see photo ,it has a red arrow pointing to it).
Any other thoughts?
All these parts cannot be managed by wpForo, they have no any relation to wpForo. You should edit the WordPress page which is used for wpForo and check all options in the Edit Page screen. There should be lots of options provided by current active WordPress theme and Elementor plugin. All these parts can only be removed from theme and elementor side.
If you don't find any option please contact to the theme and elementor developers. wpForo doesn't have any relation to these parts and these are not wpForo components, thus there is no any chance to manage them from wpForo side.
In addition I recommend create another page with the layout settings you want, then put the [wpforo] shortcode in this new page, save it. Then delete the old page and change the Forum Base URL in Dashboard > Forums > Settings admin page according to the new page URL (slug).
