Issue: When attempting to update the nicknames en masse on the backend they are not populating on the front end. Front end updates to the nickname do update the nickname field on the backend.Â
Steps Take:
- Updated the nicknames en masse on the backend.
- Verified the nicknames on the front end did not change.
- Changed a nickname on the front end - it updated the nickname on the backend.Â
Business Impact: This is an older non tech savvy community. Their usernames have been setup as emails and because of this the nicknames give away too much information. We are creating this forum for over 1,000 essential service providers, in response to Covid-19. The business supports these users but the entire supporting staff themselves appear to have been exposed.Â
Workaround. Will hide the nickname until provided steps
Apologies if this has been addressed. I have searched and most preference appears to be for replacing the username with the nickname.Â
