sorry for the bump, but i found something here, if user are registered with either facebook or any of those social logins you cant change anything if the user did a register from site itself all is normal as edit their profile.

So something is going on between the two as to wpforo and social registers, if i disable wpforo all goes well as i can edit their account that came from a social login/register.

I saw this thread as i too have problems but it's not live but intranet related.

same goes with us altough we dont use facebook logins or any social plugins of that kind however we do use buddypress, woocommence, mycred.

Problem goes for us too when editing the user in wp it's giving us a "invalid user id" its like wp and wpforo goes out of sync, even the sync from wpforo doesn't seem to work to get them sync again.

Also the weird thing is if the debug mode is on, it doesnt give any errors on why it goes to invalid user id.

Or maybe something goes really bad and corrupts the database, hope not of course!

We don't, as it is intranet related (we use an internal server with wordpress for our company so not live outside the box).

So we don't use any of the social plugins.

Only buddypress for its profile layouts, woocommence, mycred and wpforo.
