I see that there is a custom field plugin but it is for topics. I would like to add a custom field to a forum. Any way to do that?

you need to purchase the addon, "topic custom field"

I would like to add a custom field to a forum
wpForo Doesn't have option to add a custom field on the Forum/Category, the Custom Topic Fields addon only has option for adding Custom Topic fields for needed Forums/Categories, but the fields are still for the topic.
Example:
Topics in Forum A have 1 Custom Field
Topic in Forum B don't have Custom Fields at all.
Topics in Forum C have 5 custom fields
All can be controlled by USergroups.
