Good evening everyone. I manage the site of a Community Cooperative on which I am implementing a Forum using WPforo (not yet in "production"). Taken from the tests and the various customizations to date I did not consider that there is already a blog on the site to which you must be registered to be able to comment on the various articles. Only today, therefore, by performing a routine test, I verified that by logging a test user on WPforo, the user is automatically logged on the blog. Obviously you will say. Well.
Unfortunately, by clicking on the nickname connected to the blog, the user is directed to the admin page of Wordpress user management, instead of wpforo user management ... and I do not like this.
I have searched for a long time on the web but the only possible solution seems to be the installation of "umpteenth" customization plugin.
After the premise I come to the question: that you know what can be the easiest way to make that logging on the forum manages to manage the management of the user's profile on wpforo itself.

Alternatives are welcome
Thanks in advance

Hi @finalcut .  You can also try this:

1) Log in as Admin.  Then Go to "Forum Dashboard"
2) Then select "Settings"
3) Select the "Features" tab.
4) You will see "Show Admin Bar for Members" (This option doesn't affect website admins.)
5) Select "NO"
6) Scroll at the very bottom and click "Update Options"
7) On the Front End of your forum, refresh page or click Control F5.
8) Log out as Admin

9) Login as Test User and test and see your updated options. The WP Admin bar should now be hidden to forum members  🙂

Hope this helps. 🙂

Hi @finalcut,

Please navigate to Dashboard > Forums > Settings > Features admin page enable the following two options:

  • Replace Comment Author Link to Forum Profile
  • Replace Author Link to Forum Profile

If these options are enabled wpForo will use WordPress hooks and replace Blog Post author and Comment author profile link with Forum profile link.

Unfortunately it does not seem to work completely. Look at the pictures.
