I want to set up two private forums on my website. One just for committee members and one for all association members. But I can't work out how to restrict access. Would appreciate an idiots guide, please!

Hi -

I am pretty sure that I have followed the setup described in your "How to set up a private forum" link. However, even when I am not signed in, so therefore should not have access, I can see the page.

Are you able to have a look and advise me what I have done wrong, please?

@timbo,

All works fine. The forums access control is designed to control access to forums and that works fine. If you want to hide the entire forum page then you should use WordPress page level access controlling solutions like these: https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/Restrict+User+Access/  . wpForo works inside the page content it doesn't have control over page level. Don't forget if you hide the full forum page the forum login/register pages will be hidden as well.
