Please don't forget there are forums where only Recent Topic or Recent Posts widget is used. New topic should be added in both widgets. If we remove the first post the people who only use Recent Posts widget will not see that.

That makes sense I just, but how do you load different widgets for different forums? Mine are in the sidebar and both show regardless of what forum I'm in.
Would you have to have a different page that you've specifically set to show a specific forum, using a shortcode? I guess then it would show whatever is set in the WP sidebar, which could be different to the wpForo sidebar.
I don't say we load different widgets for different forums, there is no such feature. I mean the case when only Recent Posts widget exists on sidebar (admin doesn't use Recent Topic widget).
