Hello admin, is there any way out where we can enable this feature -
" when a member registers, he starts getting emails on any post or topic posted in forum in any of it's section without manually SUBSCRIBING any topic or post". Since i am running a membership site for a training course & having a lot of different topics in it - so subscribing for each topic manually going there is really getting hectic for my members hence they asked me something like this so that they keep on getting notifications whenever any of the section is updated by me . Pls guide me in this matter. Thanks

Hi @sumaira,

You might want to re-think this. Part of a forum's function is for the user to decide what they want to subscribe to rather than be force-fed content. The best way this would work in simplicity would be for the user to perform a one-time subscribe to a particular forum, then place the topics in that.

I get where you are coming from, perhaps even give the user the option during signup to tick boxes for each forum they want to subscribe to. That would be quicker than having to go into each one individually to subscribe. In fact! Even better, would be for a tickbox subscribe/unsubscribe in the subscriptions part of the profile. On one tab would be all the forums with the options to subscribe/unsubscribe. And on another tab would be all the threads that have been manually subscribed to when using the forum - again with tick boxes to subscribe/unsubscribe.

But @anonymous3542 is correct, you want the user to be fully aware of what they are subscribed to. So, perhaps if this was able to be preset by the administrator, and there was a page displaying it upon registration that would cover both off??

i wish i could have the things u said in wpforo.

Actually, my members need updates of any sections wheresoever i post. Since its a training course i provide & there are lot of different sections in it. So, by default they must checkout the new topic posted any of this section. So, now i had to again send them a manual notification via telegram chat just to inform a new topic i posted in this section to check which i don't want.  And its irritating to subscribe around 50-60 different forums as there r that many sections.

We'll add a new button on forum home to allow subscribe to whole forum in near future releases. But there will not be an option to automatically subscribe all users to whole forum.
