I'm sure this is common, and found threads where people had the same issue. This is a Woocommerce site, and I'm trying to integrate wpforo for our forum, I've purchased premium extensions as well.
When a user goes through wpforo registration, the registration email they receive is from "Wordpress" "wordpress@mydomain.com"
I've seen the responses. I understand this is a known Wordpress issue. I understand all wpforo emails come from wpforo and use the email address provided in wpforo settings. I also understand all registration emails are handled by Wordpress itself. I do have the email address set correctly in the Wordpress settings tab. (this is a Woocommerce site that's been up and running for years)
With that said, accounts created by Woocommerce, or created in Wordpress (outside of wpforo registration) work, and the emails appear correctly. They're from My Name and myname@mydomain.com. ONLY accounts created in wpforo come from "Wordpress" "wordpress@mydomain.com
I've attempted a couple lines of code and hooks that I've found searching this forum for the same issue, I understand where to put them (functions.php in my child theme), but most result in the white screen of death, I have to remove them to recover the site.
Looking for some suggestions or a little guidance here.

Please let us know what hook you've used.
I'd suggest you try the solution mentioned by Robert in this support topic.
