I understand the sequence involved in registering a Username and email address, then sending an email to the registrant asking them to select a password.
BUT, there seems to be two flavors of the select password dialog: 1) from WPForo and 2) from WordPress. They have different strength requirements.
How can I use only the WPForo flavor?

Try to enable "Replace Reset Password Page URL to Forum Reset Password Page URL" option in Dashboard > Forums > Settings > Features admin page.

Now, is there any way I can relax the password strength to less than 12 characters?
"Hint: The password should be at least twelve characters long. To make it stronger, use upper and lower case letters, numbers, and symbols like ! " ? $ % ^ & )."
