If users are not login and press reply they receive a working sign which keeps on turning endlessly.

As suggested on other topics I deactivated all other plugins to search for conflicts but to no avail. It happens in explorer and firefox and also on mobile divices.

Not sure what to do.

Please check https://www.bulb.gent/forum/main-forum/voorbereiding-promodag/

Any hint would be great.

Cheers

Please note, the Guest Posting is not allowed in wpForo yet. I see you allowed guests to post a topic, this is the reason of your problem. Please make sure Guest Usergroup has Read Only Access in all forum settings

And the Read Only Access has this set of permissions:

Then delete all caches and check it again. We'll add Guest posting very soon, ate the moment please keep it disabled.

Dear Robert,

it is because I was having this problem that I started experimenting with these settings and tried guest to be able to reply. I found it odd that guests had a reply button in the first place since they are not able to reply. So I turned that option on in the hope it would remedy the problem. But it didn't. I set this back to its original setting but I afraid it makes no difference 🙁

Is there a way to remove the reply button in guest mode?

Any other ideas?

Cheers

Or is there an option that anyone can reply without having to sign in?

You should delete cache, it should open pop-up window with asking for login or registration. Please delete all caches and leave the forum URL. Add Topic button should be there, but the action is different.

Nope, doesn't make any difference.

Some people tried to use it and told me that they could use the forum because the reply button doesn't work. It is obvious that without the popup people do not find the register button or do not spend the time trying to find it.

Do people really need to register to participate in the forum? Isn't there an option that people can just reply leaving their email address without going through a registration process?
