MY installation of WPforo is within a WordPress site where we create the users and their profile. I need to restrict the entry of information into My Profile and prevent the users from changing

  • Display Name
  • Nickname
  • email
  • Title
  • password

Until I can restrict these entries I cannot allow them permission to make changes to anything else e.g. add an Avatar because all of these settings are controlled centrally to ensure all systems are looking at the same bit of data.

I hope that you can provide a way to all access to the My Account but prevent entry to the fields above

Thanks

Iain Morrison

Hi,

You can adjust the "Min number of posts to be able to edit profile information" option located in Dashboard > wpForo > Settings > Spam Protection. Consider setting it to 10,000 or a greater value.
