Hello,

I'm sorry but I am a novice with this kind of thing, so go easy on me!

I have used the wpforo shortcode on my site and the main page of the forum looks good.  However, when I click on a topic it takes me to the correct URL/slug but it just shows the same main forum page.  I think I understand the shortcode I need to enter to display each topic on the pages but cannot see any way of entering it anywhere?!  Is this an issue with wpforo, elementor, my site theme, or just me??

@paul

You should not set the forum page as a home page, you should create another forum page with [wpforo] shortcode and use that page as a home page, please read the documentation carefully:  https://wpforo.com/docs/wpforo-v2/getting-started/forum-page/set-forum-on-home-page/

@sofy Thanks for your help.  The links seem to be working now but each topic page has appeared with very strange spacing (see screenshot) and it looks a bit rubbish and will be hard for users to navigate. I see that there is shortcode for each topic page, so do I need to enter these somewhere too?  The shortcode displays the topic beautifully if I create a new page and enter it, but it doesn't seem to link to the forum page?!

@paul

Please edit the "forum test page" page and make sure the sort code is not enclosed in addition tags. Seems the shortcode os located into the <pre> tags.

@sofy The short code wasn't in addition tags but the forum layout seems to randomly be working now for some reason?!  Bit worrying, as I'm not entirely convinced it won't stop working at some point!  Anyway, thanks for your help.
