Not sure if this was the case before 1.4.7 but it appears users can change their user group to "Customer" of their own volition. On my forums the Customer user group has a different permission set to registered members so this is very much an undesired permission for ordinary members to have.
So too the ability to change the @ nickname which just causes a lot of queries and hassles from members who don't understand not being able to change to a nickname they desire but is already taken by another member. This permission should also be off by default for all but the admin user group.
Hi @verek,
Do you use wpForo User Custom Fields addon?I think this issue comes from the addon. I recommend edit the Usergroup field in Members Fields > User Fields Manager Tab and only check/enable Registered usergroup for "Choose groups" option.
For further support please use the gVectors team support forum.
We do not use the Gvectors (or any other) Custom Fields addon.
Ok, thank you for letting me know. We'll check this issue and update soon.
You can edit the usergroup field in Member Fields admin page of the User Custom Fields addon and manage the appearance of this field. For further questions please open a support topic on gVectors Team support forum: https://gvectors.com/forum/official-wpforo-addons/
