The "view unread" is the single feature that all our users ask more... is it possible to have it on 1.1.3?
Yes, we've operated and still do phpbb forums, but the integration into WP sites is key for interaction. WP FORO is the best looking one for sure.
The key features going forward should be...
1- Private messages.
2- View unread.
3- Maybe improve the layout a bit.
I'm sorry but it's not possible to have it in next 1.1.3 version. This is not a small feature, this is a huge tracking system with according tables in database. We're planning to add it in 1.1.4 or in 1.2.0 version. The 50% work is already done, we do our best to add it as soon as possible. this feature includes:
1. Indicators (maybe bold) of unread Forum and Topic titles.
2. Separate page for Unread topics list
3. Visitor tracking and information how many guests and users currently viewing certain forum and topic.
etc..
wpForo topic Unread/Read feature is based on Forum User Tracking system and they have to come together.

1. You can use Private topics as alternative. Private Messages is an Addon available in gVectors Store.
2. Already under development (more info in my post above)
