Hi

Have a new forum site WIP and added Yost SEO webmasters etc to finish setup.

ISSUES:

1. Yoast sitemap does not include any images uploaded to the forum.

2. Yoast sitemap does not include any URLs of forums - just the forum page. No category URLs, not forums anywhere.

Your forum outputs an RSS feed but what about a sitemap?

How will I get topics and images in forum indexed by SE's?!

Thx

Yoast should be automatically disabled on forum pages. wpForo has own SEO system. Please forget about Yoast on forum pages. wpForo SEO adds a necessary SEO meta data in forum page headers.

Example, this page:

https://wpforo.com/community/wpforo-announcements/wpforo-1-4-4-is-released/

If you check the header you'll see:

Hi, yes. I see that in header area, but how will Google/Bing/Yandex know to index properly without an xml sitemap I can upload?

I mean, if there's no need for xml sitemaps then why do webmaster accounts say to submit them?

Thx

Sitemap is not required for search engine indexing. wpForo is well index-able. You can check for wpforo.com forum. All new topics become available in google in a few hours. We don;t have any sitemap. Google likes wpForo forums and indexes very easy.
