Dear customer service

First of all I'd like to thanks you for the amazing plugin!

I have a question for you:
I'd like to upload a new POT file for Italian translation. Where do I have to upload it?

I uploaded via FTP to this directory: /wpforo/wpf-languages/ (actually I replaced the old one with a new one) but it's still not working.

What else can I do?

Thank in advance for your answer and for the great service.

Andrea from Italy

Ciao @andreasemo vedo che siamo alle prese con un problema simile... te alla fine hai risolto? Nel caso come?

Io volevo provare con l'upload del file .XML, come vedi ho chiesto delle spiegazioni ma ancora non ricevo risposte.

Grazie,
Gianluca

You can put it in /wp-content/plugins/wpforo/wpf-languages/ directory. However It'll be reset and removed in next version update. You should use Loco Translate for local translation in update safe way.

Hi all,

I'm also interested in translating into Italian.

My question is:

What are the differences between XML based language and PO/MO Translation?
Can I use only XML based language, adding a new italian XML file, to translate the forum?
If yes can I export and use the XML file at: https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/wpforo/stable/it/default ?

Many thanks,
Gianluca

on the page  https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/wpforo/stable/it/default

To export the file in XML version I see only the option as 'Android XML'.

Is this the correct way to have the italian XML based language file?

thanks
