Hi, I was wondering which permission I should use to allow a custom group I have created to moderate posts of the frontend of the forum.

Hi Tom,

You should edit the forum access, that is attached to certain Usergeoup, and enable the "Can approve/unapprove content" checkbox. 

 

You can manage the Forum Accesses from Dashboard > Forums > Settings > Forum Accesses admin page.
