Hello wpForo Support Team,

I’m experiencing an issue with wpForo automatically creating forum pages repeatedly.

Environment

  • WordPress version: 6.9

  • wpForo: latest version

  • Site: https://168forum.my

  • Language: Simplified Chinese

  • Cache: LiteSpeed (already cleared and tested)

Issue description
When I create or edit a wpForo Board (Boards → Add/Edit Board), wpForo automatically creates a new WordPress page for the forum.

Even if I:

  • Delete the auto-created forum page from Pages

  • Empty Trash

  • Clear LiteSpeed cache

  • Re-save the Board settings

wpForo still creates a new page again (for example:
Forum page_on_front, Forum, or similar).

This happens repeatedly and results in multiple unwanted forum pages.

What I already checked

  • Board → Page ID field is auto-generated (I did not manually change it)

  • Only one forum board exists

  • No duplicate boards

  • Front page settings checked (Settings → Reading)

  • Cache cleared (LiteSpeed)

  • Issue persists after refresh and re-save

Expected behavior
wpForo should either:

  • Reuse the existing forum page, or

  • Allow manually selecting / locking a specific Page ID,
and not auto-create a new page each time.

Could you please advise:

  1. Why wpForo keeps auto-creating new pages?

  2. How to prevent this behavior?

  3. Whether this is related to Front Page / Page ID handling?

Screenshots are attached showing the repeated page creation.

Thank you for your support.

Best regards,
Simon

Please note that wpForo itself does not have any functionality that creates a new page when you create or edit a wpForo Board.

First of all, please configure your cache plugin correctly as described here:
https://wpforo.com/community/faq/wpforo-and-cache-plugins/#post-37150

If the issue still exists, please deactivate all plugins (keep only the wpForo plugin active) and run a test.

If the issue still persists, please record a video showing the Active Plugins section and the exact steps you’re taking.

Otherwise, activate the plugins one by one and test after each activation to identify the plugin causing the issue.
