No matter what I try the option to upload a file is only available to admins.

I can make members moderators, make a special usergroup with with the can upload files checked the option "attach file" does not appear. I have deleted all caches. But to no avail.

The moment I make a member an administrator it appears.

Can anybody help? I would also like none administrators to upload files.

Cheers

So I was able to get the attach file option for my users.

I have to check 'can edit member' . If that option is not checked the 'Attach file' option will not appear.

Not sure I like that users can edit members though!

Is this suppose to be like that?

Hi idsphere,

So I was able to get the attach file option for my users.

Please don't do this for regular users, this is an admin and moderator permission, you allowed user to edit other users. Please uncheck/disable this back as soon as possible. Then navigate to Dashboard > Forums > Dashboard and click on [Delete Users Cache] button.

Also navigate to Dashboard > Forums > Members admin page and make sure there there are not new admin in your website.

Correct Solution:

wpForo Spam control has set minimum number of posts user must have to be able to attache a file, you can decrease this level to 0 in Dashboard > Forums > Tools > Antispam admin page if you're sure your just registered users are not spammers:

Aha, the antispam! I didn't think of that one and I was probable not going to search there for the answer. Nice one.

Thanks for your quick and great support Robert.

Problem solved!
