This is an absolutely BRILLIANT update, but it's KILLING my server resources ! So much in fact that my ISP is threatening to suspend my account - my forum isn't even that big 🙁
Is there anything we can do about this before my ISP loses patience and pulls the plug on me ?

The database update process maybe heavy if your hosting service is not powerful. It's one time process. You just need to wait...
Also, maybe the database keys are not created or you've disabled wpForo caches. The first issue check in Dashboard > Forums > Tools > Debug > Tables tab. Make sure you don't have database issues. If you see any just use the [Solve database problems]. For the second issue, please navigate to Settings > Features tab and make sure all caches are enabled.

Went to bed and let the database update continue to run. Just got up and checked it -- it's still running.
Edit: Nevermind, I clicked the "Recheck DB" and all is well. 🙂
Your database was successfully updated, you don't need to click on [Recheck] button. it may initiate another one hour process. Your db is ok.

At te moment this phrase can be translated using Loco Translate plugin, this phrase is located in POT file. We'll add this in wpForo Phrases system too with next update.
