But now have a more specific question:
I can see that social-media sharing config is part of Jetpack.
(I have different behaviour on different sites dues to different Themes rather than different plug-ins)
On my only wpForo installation travivas.ianglen.net [Members Area] I have two different behaviours on the same page. (I have only default 2019 themes for WP and wpForo)
- At the bottom of any Forum "page" I have the social sharing buttons configured in Jetpack.
(But since this the Forum is a "page" implementation, the share only includes the top level forum page link) - At the top right of each wpForo post there are 3 different sharing links (URL, Twitter and Google+) that do NOT appear to be configured by Jetpack.
How do I configure the latter?
I'm trying to get both auto-sharing of new topics published and user sharing buttons on selected topics or replies.
UPDATE : Now specifically - I need a WhatsApp sharing function.
(Individual post by user and auto topic publish preferably as per JetPack within WP)

All options for wpForo social sharings are located in Dashboard > Forums > Settings > API's admin page.

I'm sorry, but wpForo doesn't have a WhatsApp sharing feature. This is already in our to-do list. In future releases, we're planning to add three more sharing buttons (LinkedIn, Reddit, WhatsApp).

Any update on when WhatsApp sharing is likely to be available at the individual topic / reply level (As per individual posts in the core WP)?
