When I replacy the forum profile with the UM profile I cant send private messages.
I can't replicate this one because I am using the UM version of Private Messages. I chose this route because the integration is native (obviously), but I see your point. Do you by any chance have this function enabled anywhere

No, I just installed UM and used the WPForo setting to see how it works.
Hmm. Is this a staging site ? I may create a stage of my website and see if I can replicate this issue.
I think the cause of this issue is pretty simple - When you try to send a private message it starts a process which includes opening the forum profile. Since the forum profile is now "redirected" to the "Site profile" it just skips the whole thing. It is not a staging site but I don't have a lot of active users so it is easy to to test these things live.
They should probably just add an exception for private messages if that is possible.

Hmm. I don't think it's an exception as such - it probably makes more sense to use one of the UM tabs as they have done for replies, likes etc, and place the messaging inside that.

I completely agree. I was thinking more in terms of a "temporary workaround" 😀
One more question: When you tap on a notification, for example when someone replies to your forum topic, where does the notification take you? Directly to the forum topic/ post?
