You have to actually add a link as a user in the same manner as explained.

Rolled back to previous version and now it works. You are making too many mistakes when you update your plugins. Same thing with wpdiscuz.

I seem to have fixed it by deleting a few douplicate entries in the db and changed the forum id from 2 to 0 in the database forum id. Phew.
