Looking like webfonts is a major time consumer..... would it be worth getting rid of them?

Impossible to guess. Might be hosting environment or 100 different things. PHP version, no use of caching, wrong caching. A lot ....

You use Cloudflare and CF is hiding more details about your site.

(edit: i see PHP 7 so all ok here, and Litespeed webserver. How about installing LiteCache, remove Autoptimize and use Litecache optimizations? Lots and Lots of them in Litecache)

Thanks for your time Massimo, ill try and figure something out. I just removed the fonts, and it look awful lol.

If I can find a way to speed up that first file, I can keep them 😉

About the fonts, can you load them from a CDN or something ?

If you will test LiteSpeed cache

https://wordpress.org/plugins/litespeed-cache/

keep in mind that you can exclude (and you should) the forums BUT the optimizations (css/js/http2 push) are different and will be still be used in the forums (until you exclude them from optimizations).

So no caching for the forums, while other optimizations will be active.

I think you recommended this before. I use WP fastest Cache right now, with autoptimize.

Sorry for all the questions man, but how do i test this plug in on a version of my site that isnt live? Is that stie staging? Id like to set it all up first before removing the cache plugins i have now to test the score after, is that possible?

Thanks for your help today man, i appreciate it. Did a clean up of the forum.... still slow lol.

No problem, ask whatever you want.

I do know what you mean, trying several things on a production site. Not easy.

What you can do is disable for a while Fastest Cache and Autoptimize. And install LiteSpeed cache for caching ONLY. Everything else disabled. And see how it goes.

There will be no change in anything. Replicate the settings from Fastest Cache (like excludes and cache duration).

If you are satisfied and all work well, try to optimize.

For caching all you have to change in the Litespeed is Disable caching for logged users.

The other way is to replicate your site from a backup to a test subdomain and try various settings.
