I have seen a couple of posts about this on the WPForo forum. It would be great to be able to type the "@" sign and have a popup open to select the user from. Is this a feature coming soon or perhaps an addon? Curious if we could get an update on this feature request?

I'm really sorry, but this feature is not available in wpForo. We may consider adding it in the upcoming year, but I cannot make any promises at this time.

We are glad to inform you about the new official wpForo addon "wpForo – User Mentioning".
wpForo User mentioning addon is a lightweight solution for wpForo forums to easily select users when you want to mention them in topic and post editors. It popups a small window with an autocomplete list of users while you’re tying, starting with @ symbol. The pop-up window allows you to go through all suggestion using the up and down arrows of your keyboard and select the one you want by pressing the enter button. The mentioned users will receive an email notification letting them know about the topic or reply where they were mentioned.
