So, what happened yesterday? The Wpforo website was hacked? Is this something all users should be concerned about? Are the vulnerabilities in all of our sites that leaves us all open to the same risks?

It would be good to hear what you guys think. Good to see the site is back up and running.

You mean if there is something related to wpForo plugin, otherwise there are so many ways a website can be hacked.

And to be honest "hostinger" company they use to host this .... well .... not the best ...

Hi @percysgrowroom,

Somehow, the hosting crashed, resulting in the loss of some attachments. It was certainly an attack, although it doesn't have a direct connection to wpForo. It could even be the result of a compromise of one of our moderator's passwords.

Just at some point consider to move away from Hostinger, this Lituanian/Cyprus-based company.

Also it wouldn't hurt to add some WAF plugin for your protection. Wordfence or if too heavy for you (it can be in waf advanced mode/prepend) then Ninja Firewall.
