I'm sorry but not. The easiest way is this:

  1. You should create new Usergroup, for example Private Forum Reader.
  2. Set Standard Access to Private Forum Reader Usergroup in that forum.
  3. Add this new Usergroup as  Secondary Usergroup to that User.

 

For any case, don't forget delete wpForo cache. But I'm almost sure that'll be done automatically.
