Why is there no way to update add-ons within the plug-in where it shows in my WP plug-ins? They all say version 2 point something and they are up to date when it's my understanding that they should be versions 3.0 now since the update. Also where do you adjust the general background color that is at the edge of the pages (not the color inside the posting area.)?
Ok I manually updated them. Can someone tell me how to change the outer area of the page background color?

Go to Dashboard > wpForo > Settings > Colors & Styles and check Forum Styles field, there you can see the color templates.
There is no template that I can find for background color except within messages. I want to change the background color on the outer area of the page that surrounds the inner message area.
It's simple. We want the Forum Topics (example: NINERS TALK) and all the other text lettering that shows in blue now to be our default red color which is #AA0000 and we want the outer color that is now a whiteish pink to be the same tan as the inner color #E0E0D6 so they don't look like separate blocks.
