No idea how in the world this happened. The account I use to make and edit the forum when now logged in viewing the forums says it is banned and contact an administrator? Well that account is the administrator haha. If I can't see the forum pane on the left it's like a catch 22, to unban myself I can't see where to even unban. I have been changing the site I had the forum on as far as the domain, etc. Thus also adjusting the wordpress.com site I had for the prior domain, etc. I login via wordpress.com to my wordpress.org site that has the forum. Not sure if maybe somehow this disconnected the account in some way that I virtually banned myself from managing my own forum? Haha. I see the app is still installed in the settings and is activated. If I visit the site on my phone it all looks fine (without being logged in) so no idea how this could have happened. How does an account get banned? Is it by administrator control or is it by repeated failed login attempts? Could I have banned myself by a certain number of login failures? If so that's probably not a good feature because can you get it all back if you're the administrator haha. My mind is blown let me know if you have an idea where to start. Thanks!
So it was definitely weird. For some reason a different user with different email didn't have forum keymaster control but at least now I gave that user that and now I have regained control, thankfully.
I have set up a new forum for a membership community (using S2Member to control access), with about a dozen forum moderators, and other subscribers. Loving wpForo - flexible, fast to set up, working well!! With an odd new twist:
In the last 2 days, 3 people have been banned spontaneously (1 moderator, 1 keymaster, 1 subscriber) - I am able to unban the person, but I want to prevent this!
What criteria would cause wpForo to spontaneously ban a member?
Settings I should check?
All help very welcome!
Thanks
