Hi. I believe I've asked here before about some cache issues but I didn't have specific information. Our website (thelobolair.com) has some days with very heavy traffic and things get really slow. I asked DreamHost for help and I've attached a screenshot of what they said was happening.

I was told the plugin is conflicting with the server cache in storing cookies/browser sessions.

Was this enough @anonymous20 @robert? The screenshot I attached on the first post has the most information. Basically something in the plugin is making the caching not work and we need to figure out options. Because it makes the website really slow when the traffic is high.

btw: exclude wpforo page from Yoast. Right now you have TWO seo in one page:

<!-- wpForo SEO -->
<link rel="canonical" href=" https://thelobolair.com/community/lobo-basketball/connor-mcd-utah-valley-up-10-arizona/ " />
<meta name="description" content="wow.  Connor with a nice dunk in 1st half.  Any chance this keeps up and they pull an upset?  On Pac 12 channel  " />
<meta property="og:title" content="Connor McD &amp; Utah Valley Up 10 @ Arizona" />
<meta property="og:description" content="wow.  Connor with a nice dunk in 1st half.  Any chance this keeps up and they pull an upset?  On Pac 12 channel  " />
<meta property="og:url" content=" https://thelobolair.com/community/lobo-basketball/connor-mcd-utah-valley-up-10-arizona/ " />
<meta property="og:site_name" content="The Lobo Lair" />
<meta name="twitter:description" content="wow.  Connor with a nice dunk in 1st half.  Any chance this keeps up and they pull an upset?  On Pac 12 channel  "/>
<meta name="twitter:title" content="Connor McD &amp; Utah Valley Up 10 @ Arizona" />
<!-- wpForo SEO End -->

Thanks, I just deactivated Yoast because I realized I already have Google Analytics (...for WordPress by MonsterInsights).

Hey @anonymous20  how do you exclude wpforo from yoast? I've checked my site and my forum aswell have both yoast and wpforo seo codes. Also does that slow down the site?

Yoast slows down all the site, so i don't use it at all. So i don't know if and how to exclude some pages.

Personally i use SEO FRAMEWORK and works great with wpFOro and Wordpress. Extremely light also.

@ernesto,

You don't need to do an extra manipulation here. All is ok. If you check it attentive, you can see that wpForo has already removed all meta tags which are already added by wpForo. So they don't conflict. Yoast meta tags are not duplicated here, the main and important tags are provided by wpForo and removed from Yoast. This only happens on wpForo page, it doesn't affect other parts of your website.

@isabelg,

wpForo doesn't affect any cache processes. I don't think this is directly related to wpForo. We've checked on dozens of website and there is no any issue with Cache Control Headers. Just install some good cache plugin and you'll see all works fine. Don't forget exclude forum page from that cache plugin, wpForo already has a built in caching system and it doesn't need to be overwritten by others. It's only working on the forum page and it's disabled for other pages.

You're right. I believe the issue is that DreamPress has it's own built-in caching. Is there a way to turn off the WPForo caching?

There are 4 options to disable wpForo internal caching engine.

Still i think that a Hosting plan that FORCES you to use a caching method is not good and will create problems.

Yeah it kind of sucks but we'll just have to work with it. What are these four options?
